Woodrow Wilson Beasley, 90, of Cahokia, IL., born December 4, 1927 in Camden, TN., passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, in Swansea, IL.

Mr. Beasley was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during Atomic Bomb Testing at Bikini Atoll Islands. He is a member of Salvation Army Church in Belleville, IL. He retired from Chrysler Corp. in St. Louis, MO. and formerly employed by Contour Chair Company in St. Louis, MO.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine F. Beasley, nee Brantley; his son, Mark S. Beasley; his parents, Mims and Lillian, nee Greer, Beasley,and two sisters, Lorene Bennett and Katheryn Marcum.

Surviving are his children, Sharon (Mike) Cook of Belleville, IL., Vanessa Shaw of Waterloo, IL., Mike (Lisa) Beasley of East Carondelet, IL., and Jim (Paula) Beasley of Waterloo, IL.; a sister, Marie St John of Waverly, TN.; nine grandchildren, Mike (Tina), Tara (Terry), Ronnie (Erin), Kimberly (Joe), Summer (Matt), Sunny (Jeff), Steven (Katie), Christopher (Ammie) and Amber; and 18 great grandchildren. He was also a dear uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to many.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Braun Family Funeral Home, 265 Quarry Rd., Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Ridenour officiating. Entombment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Belleville, IL.
