William Odell Wheeler, 100, of Belleville, IL., born September 16, 1918 in Senath, MO., passed away on Saturday November 10, 2018 at his residence.

William was a U.S. Army Veteran and  a member of First Assembly of God Church in Cahokia, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Elizabeth Wheeler, nee McCracken; a son William Wheeler; six brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Wheeler; two children, Carolyn (Buddy) Hobbs of Perryville, MO., Jerry (Artie Vetter) Wheeler of Bethalto, IL.; eight grandchildren; Sabrina (Gary) Bradley, Lisa (Jeff) Piller, Connilyn Wheeler, Amber (Billy) Anderson, Elizabeth (Brittany) McGee, Joshua Wheeler, Austin Lannom and Darion King.; seven great grandchildren, Samantha, Alan, Daniel, Travis, Michael, Brittney, Serenity, and one on the way. He was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Funeral service 10 A.M. on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Garvin Fisher officiating. Burial in Lake View Memorial Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
