William "Bill" E. Roberts, 90, of Dupo, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born October 26, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away peacefully at his home.

Bill was a retired truck driver from Reliance Automotive in St. Louis, MO and was formerly employed by Ford Motor Company. He was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Jerome Lane Baptist Church in Cahokia, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary "Kate" Roberts, nee Marshall; his parents, Fred and Blanche, nee Owens, Roberts; a brother, Jimmy Roberts; two sisters, Barbara Roberts and Gloria Burns; a son-in-law, Harold Ramirez; and a granddaughter, Julie Ann Carrera.

Surviving are his fiancee, Barbara Rahmoller of Dupo, IL; two daughters, Sharon Ramirez of Cahokia, IL and Angie (Scott) Brennan of Waterloo, IL; a brother, Jack (Betty) Roberts of St. James, MO; eight grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Reverend Gale Lambert officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
