William E. "Bill" Odum, 83, of Dupo, IL, born May 31, 1941 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

Bill was retired from Wetterau Foods and Supervalu. He worked all of his life in the grocery business.

Bill was a member of the Ainad Shriners, Scottish Rite 32nd degree, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Illinois and the NRA. Having grown up around stock cars, Bill was a huge fan of the stock car races and rarely missed a Friday night at Belle-Clair Speedway. Bill was an avid golfer and achieved the ultimate "Hole in One".

He loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to Lake of the Ozarks with his children and grandchildren, as well as many other destinations.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, M. LaVerne (nee, Robinson) Odum; his parents, Edgar and Imogene (nee, Cravens) Odum; a nephew, Donald C. Odum Jr.; brother-in-law, Sterling "Arnold" Robinson and two nephews, Donald C. Odum, Jr. and  Christopher Robinson.

Surviving are his two sons, William "Will" (Kelly) Odum of Millstadt, IL and Matthew "Matt" (Lisa Lewis) Odum of East Carondelet, IL; four grandchildren, Casey (Mallory) Odum of Millstadt, IL, Connor (Amanda) Odum of Millstadt, IL, Wyatt Odum of St. Louis, MO and Amelia Odum of St. Louis, MO; a 2 month old great grandson, Grayson Sterling Odum of Millstadt, IL; a brother, Don (Kathleen) Odum of Dupo, IL; a sister Jackie (Jim) Smith of Las Vegas, NV; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Robinson of Cape Girardeau, MO; dear friend, Karen Crank of Columbia, IL; dear cousin and friend, Marion Odum of Collinsville, IL, nieces, nephews and many life long friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM  at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, IL. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Terry Haynes officiating. Burial will be held at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Belleville, IL.
