Venita "Nita" L. Middleton-Hults, nee Hill, 88, of Cahokia, Illinois, born December 20, 1934, in Lilbourn, Missouri, died Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at her residence.

Nita was a member of Maplewood Church of Christ in Cahokia, IL.

She was preceded in death by here first husband, James Alton Middleton; a son, James Allen "Derby Al" Middleton; her parents, Andrew and Florence, nee Skinner, Hill; and a sister, Carlotta Hill.

Surviving are her husband, Cliff Hults; a daughter, Terrie (Dave) Lewis of O'Fallon, MO; a step son, James Hults of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren, Kim Hedges and Andy (Jillian) Lemons; and six great grandchildren.  She was also a dear aunt, cousin and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Maplewood Church of Christ, Cahokia, Illinois.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Mounds Park Cemetery, New Madrid, Missouri.
