Vada N. Mondzak, nee Kirkland, 82, of Cahokia, Illinois, born July 4, 1940, in Baxter Springs, Kansas, died Monday, August 15, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Vada enjoyed camping and going to the casinos.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Mondzak, Sr.; her parents, Charles and Verla, nee VanGilder, Kirkland and two sisters, Kay Barbee and Rosellen Boyd.

Surviving are her sons, Randy Avett of St. Louis, MO, Raymond Signorino of St. Louis, MO, and Walter Mondzak, Jr. of Lake St. Louis, MO; a brother, Charles Kirkland of Arkansas; three sisters, Carlee Mallory of Florida, Judy (Harlan) Jones of Tennessee, and Vickie (Neldon) French of Farmington, MO; and a grandson, Ryan Avett. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

A funeral procession will leave at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, from Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri for a 9:45 a.m. service with Father Osang Idagbo, CM officiating,
