Tina Vernoy, nee Freeman 57, of Fairview Heights IL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Born in Cincinnati, OH she is the daughter of Mary (Noah) Hinds and the late Bob Freeman.

A beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Tina's children and grandchildren were the highlight of her life. Tina loved nothing more than to make others laugh and smile. She could light up the darkest of rooms. Tina enjoyed hot coffee in the mornings, her friends, animals (especially dogs), puzzles, walks, being outdoors, traveling to visit loved ones, picnics at the Gateway Arch and was a lover of music. She would make it a habit to rhyme all of the time. Tina will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, deep love for her family and her genuine love for her children and grandchildren.

Tina is survived by her mother Mary (Noah) Hinds of California; her daughter Amy(Robert) Schimp of New Hampshire; her sons Cory and Michael Riester of Illinois; four grandchildren: Kai, Laila, Shaelynn, and Milo; five sisters: Alisa (Art) Williams of California, Karen (Jeff) Pruitt of Tennessee, Lana (Rick) Berry of Florida, Margaret Bond of Kentucky, and Debbie Richards of Ohio; two brothers: Bobby Freeman Jr. and Cheyenne Freeman both of Kentucky as well as countless Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, Illinois. Funeral service will follow with Reverend Roger Reid officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
