Thelma E. Jaffy-Bilicke, nee Dickhaut, 97, of Mascoutah, Illinois, born December 17, 1919 in Mascoutah, Illinois, died Thursday March 23, 2017 at the Mar-Ka Nursing Home in Mascoutah, Illinois.
Thelma enjoyed fellowship with Zion Lutheran Church and St. Martian of Tours Lutheran Church as well as going to the Mascoutah Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gilbert Jaffy and James Bilicke; and her parents, Julius and Margaretha Anna, nee Ogden, Dickhaut.
Surviving are her cousins, Betty Kronemeyer and Mary Ann Seibert and their families of Mascoutah, IL and her Ogden cousins and their families of Cahokia and Belleville, IL. She was a dear friend to many.
Memorials may be made to Family Hospice of Belleville, IL, Mascoutah Senior Center, St. Martin of Tours Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church or Mar-Ka Nursing Home all of Mascoutah, Illinois.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuseday, March 28, 2017, at St. Martin of Tours Lutheran Church, 1190 North Sixth St., Mascoutah, Illinois.
A celebration of Thelma's Life will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the church with Pastor Margo Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri with her beloved husband James.
