Terryl Lee Whiting, 75, of Cahokia Heights, IL., born on October 31, 1948 in Scottsbluff, NE., passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Terryl was a U.S. Marine Veteran who severed during Vietnam War. He retired from Henry Plumbing in St. Louis, MO.. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1699 in Cahokia Heights, IL.  Boy Scout Troop #621 Leader and Cub Scout Troop 621 Leader.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Whiting; and his mother and step father Betty (Don) Grothendick.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Kathy M. Whiting, nee Seager and his two children, Michele L. Whiting and Jonathan Whiting, both of Cahokia, Heights, IL. He was also a dear brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home, 265 Quarry Rd., Columbia, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the funeral home. .Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
