Terence "Terry" McFarland, 72, of Maryville, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born July 13, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri, died Sunday, September 5, 2021 at his residence.

Terry was retired from the Cahokia Police Dept., the O'Fallon, IL Police Dept., and as Director of 911 of Madison County, IL. He was a former Police Commissioner for the Cahokia Police Dept. He was a member of the FOP and the Blue Knights. Terry loved music and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh McFarland and a twin sister, Sherry McFarland.

Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Jeanette McFarland, nee Armstrong; two sons, Shawn McFarland of Florida and Patrick (Angela) McFarland of New Baden, IL; his mother, June McFarland of Cahokia, IL; a sister, Cathy (Jonathan) Winterfeldt of Cahokia, IL; and three grandchildren, Ethan, Jackson, and Janelle McFarland. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the funeral home, with Pastor Jonathan Winterfeldt officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
