Tana Jean Johnson, 68, of Cahokia, Illinois, born March 31, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, died Thursday, April 14, 2023 at Memorial Care Center, Belleville, Illinois.

Tana enjoyed drawing and coloring in the upper level more detailed coloring books.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Johnson; a sister, Victoria Whechel; and a niece, Amber Dawn McGathey.

Surviving are her parents, Boyd and Bonnie, nee Dildine, McGathey of Granite City, IL; two brothers, Boyd H. "Butch" McGathey of Parksville, MO and Jeffrey McGathey of Granite City, IL; and a brother-in-law, Emmanuel Lee Whelchel of Kinmundy, IL. She was also a dear niece, aunt, cousin, and friend.

In following Tana's wishes, a private cremation was to be held. A family Celebration of Life will be planned in the future. Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois was entrusted with the care of Tana.
