Steven A. Schwartz 68 of Cahokia, IL, born June 12, 1954 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Crystal Creek Nursing Home, St. Louis, MO.

Steven retired from Rail Crew Express as the lead driver out of Dupo, IL. He loved gambling, playing cards and going to bingo. He enjoyed riding his nephew, Scott's, motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Loretta, nee Turner, Schwartz; and grandparents, David & Matilda Turner.

Surviving are his daughter, LeAnna Schwartz of Dupo, IL, his sister, Linda (Scott) Steller of Imperial, MO, and a brother, Michael Schwartz Sr. of Dupo, IL. Steven was also a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
