Skyla Marie Gage, 25, of Marissa, Illinois, formerly of Belleville, Illinois, born April 29, 2000 in Centreville, Illinois, died on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Sparta Community Hospital.

Skyla was employed by the Shell Gas Station in O'Fallon, IL. She was a 2018 graduate of Belleville West High School. She enjoyed fishing and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Janet Warren and Donna Land.

Surviving are her fiancé, Cody Hoffman of Marissa, IL; her daughter, Victoria K. Hoffman; her parents,Chris and Danielle, nee Jeffery, Gage of Trenton, IL; two brothers, Nathan Gage in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Clovis, NM and Gunnar Gage of Trenton, IL; her grandparents, Bruce (Debbie) Jeffery of Columbia, IL; her father-in-law, Dave Hoffman of Red Bud, IL; and a great grandmother, Virginia Jeffery of Waterloo, IL. She was also a dear niece, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Stephen Krenz. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Columbia, Illinois.
