Shirley P. Woody, nee McDonald, 77, of Cahokia, IL., born April 25, 1941 in Murphy, NC., passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Mercy South in St. Louis, MO.

Mrs. Woody was a member of Trinity General Baptist Church in Dupo, IL

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Ken" Woody; her parents, Winston and Hazel, nee Carroll, McDonald:, three brothers, Jimmy, Bobby, and Gene McDonald; and a a sister, Linda

Surviving are her children, Peggy (Karen) VanWoody of St. Louis, MO., Harold (Anita) Woody of Blairsville, GA., Rex (Dana Koch) Woody of Columbia, IL., and Jennifer (Robert) Ludwig of St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Leon (Alice) McDonald of Blairsville, GA and Kenneth McDonald of Murphy, NC; three sisters, Betty Hampton of Murphy, NC., Carolyn Bernhardt of Murphy, NC., and Sandy (Chip) Gribble of Blairsville, GA. 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was also a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Braun Family Funeral Home, 265 Quarry Rd., Columbia, IL. and from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Trinity General Baptist Church in Dupo, IL Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Mintner and Leon McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Hgts, IL.
