Shirley F. Kovach, nee Logan, 89, of Cahokia, Illinois, born June 8, 1930, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Liberty Village in Maryville, Illinois.

Shirley was a retired bus driver for the Cahokia School District 187. She loved to travel to Canada and she loved to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kovach; a son, James Kovach; her parents, Robert and Freda, nee Haag, Logan; and her brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her two daughters, Jackie Constantine of Dupo, IL and Maryann (Raymond) Leslie of Cahokia, IL; six grandchildren, Alicia (Bryan) Leslie, Joshua Constantine, Jessica (Chazz) Combs, Zachary Constantine, R.J. Leslie, and Brianna (Oscar Escobedo) Constantine; ten great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois.

In following Shirley's wishes her body was to be cremated.  A private burial will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
