Sharon Lee Price Provow (Gio), from Cahokia, IL, a precious child of God, was called home to Heaven on Wednesday April 19th, 2023.  Sharon was born on December 14th, 1941 in Matoon, IL to Roy M. and Daisy B. (nee Herron) Price.  Sharon (Gio) leaves behind 3 daughters, Lynn M. "Ree" Lombardo (Steve) of Sesser, IL., Ronda L. Provow (and Sharon's roommate for over 40 years) of Cahokia, Il., and Julie A. Lawder (Bob) of Webster Groves, MO., one granddaughter Kalei "Kay Kay" Provow, 2 grandsons Matthew Lawder (Tasha), Jesse Lawder (Kate), 5 great grandchildren, Kamila (Mila), Celena and Landen Luna (father Carlos A. Luna), Connie Floyd (Adrian) and Henry and Francie Lawder. One great, great grandchild MaKenzie Dancy and her beautiful baby boy Tuffy "Tuff Tuff".

Sharon is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends Mary Cozart, Bill Williams and Genia Ramirez.  Sharon (Gio) was like a mother and grandmother to many, especially to Sarah Killebrew Jennings and Angie Killebrew and all of the St. Michael neighborhood kids who used to gather on her porch to listen to her wonderful stories.  These children along with many of her daughter's and granddaughter's friends remained with Sharon throughout her life and she loved all of them dearly!

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Roy M. and Daisy B. Price, her husband of 39 years Ronald "Ronnie" L. Provow, her 2 sisters Linda G. Whitworth (J.R.) and Donna M. Fey (Jim), her father-in-law and mother-in-law Homer Lee and Elizabeth C. Provow, her son-in-law Robert C. "Bob" Lawder, 2 great nephews Justin Lange and Trenton Schlegel, 1 great, great nephew Gary A. "Tripp" Kharibian, her two best friends Delores Eleopolous and Joe Pat Killebrew and many of her beloved Pets.  Sharon (Gio) is deeply loved and missed by all and she is forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Braun Colonial Funeral Home 3701 Falling Springs Rd. Cahokia, IL 62206.  Celebration of Life services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Ritzel officiating.

Sharon Loved the LORD, our GOD with all of her heart and soul and would share the Gospel with everyone she met. During her time here on earth, Sharon (Gio) was one of the greatest prayer warriors for all of mankind and GOD'S creations.  She is now even a greater prayer warrior in HEAVEN.  We can only imagine the Fullness of Joy at meeting her Savior face to face and being reunited with all of her Loved Ones and the beautiful mansion where she now lives.

Sharon was a homemaker and later in life a CNA at the Pittsfield Nursing Home, a fry cook at her father's restaurant and a Baker at her father's "Hillview Donut Shop". She and her sister Linda made THE BEST DONUTS!  People came from miles around to enjoy her Father's famous donut recipes.  Much later in life Sharon babysat and raised her nieces and nephews, her grandchildren and many children of family, friends and neighbors.  She taught many babies their first words, how to walk and the Love of JESUS. Sharon was a member of the former Abundant Love Fellowship Church in Cahokia and the Women's Intercessory Prayer Group.  She loved her church family and her Pastor Tim Ritzel; and she took her Intercessory Prayer role very seriously.

Sharon Loved eating good food and she loved cooking for her family, laughing, joking, talking for hours on end, playing slot machines and Jackpot Party, watching old westerns, John Wayne movies, Gunsmoke, Brenda Gantt cooking videos and playing Yahtzee and Bananagrams.  She loved listening to music, dancing, fishing with her mom and with her sisters, the St. Louis Cardinals, every flower that GOD created, sparkly jewelry, dressing-up, birthday and costume parties and any occasion that called for a celebration; but most of all she Loved spending time with her family, praying, reading and studying the Bible and sharing GOD'S Holy Word.  A Loyal Servant, Trustworthy, Loving and Kind. Sharon had the most generous heart and often went without in order to help others.  She literally gave more than one coat off of her own back to a stranger in need and many times her only dollar as well.

Sharon had many trials and tribulations in this world and suffered a great deal of physical pain with many setbacks, heartaches and tremendous losses, but she NEVER complained nor did she ask for anything from anyone EVER in her Life.  A Most Beautiful and Virtuous Woman who is more precious than all of the jewels in this world.  A true friend to the brokenhearted and those in need.  The most charitable and precious soul who lived every day serving her Master.  THE MOST BEAUTIFUL and LOVING MOTHER and GIO. Without YOU our hearts are forever broken and empty.  We look forward in Hope to that ONE GLORIOUS DAY when we are all together again!!!
