Scott B. Dopmeyer, 59, of East Caondelet, Illinois, born January 27, 1963 in Delaware, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at his residence.

Scott was employed by Kaemmerlen Electric in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the IBEW, Local 1 in St. Louis, MO. He was a big KSHE radio fan and loved to ride his Harley and hang out with friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy M. Dopmeyer, nee Morgan and a step brother, Steven Hamilton.

Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Sue Dopmeyer, nee Johnson; two sons, Michael Johnson and Johnathan Michael (Summer Towner) both of East Carondelet, IL; two fathers, Herbert H. Dopmeyer of East Carondelet, IL and Lowell (Mary) Hamilton of Grove City, OH; a brother, Guy (Sidney) Dopmeyer of East Carondelet, IL; three step sisters, Ann Hamilton, Tami Litchfield, and Michele Gabriel, all of Ohio; and three grandchildren, Christina Marie, Mark Anthony, and Tiana Renee. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

In following with Scott's wishes a private cremation will be held. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Rick Lay officiating.
