Sawyer Matthew Kanofsky, 17 months old, of Waterloo, IL., born July 28, 2019 in St. Louis, MO., passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Mercy South in St. Louis, MO.

Sawyer was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Art Kanofsky.

Surviving are his parents, Bryan and Mary, nee Free, Kanofsky; maternal grandparents,Carl and Jana Free of Waterloo, IL.; paternal grandmother, Harriet Kanofsky of St. Louis, MO; an uncle, Steve (Catherine) Free of Maryville, IL; an aunt, Michelle (Andrew) Brock of St. Louis, MO; and his cousin, Roman Free.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Columbia, IL. A Christian memorial service will begin at 10:00 am with Msgr. Carl Scherrer officiating. Private cremation was held.
