Ryta June Procasky nee Saltzman June 17, 1945 – June 8, 2026

Ryta June Procasky was born in Pinckneyville, IL to Carl and Elsie Marie, nee Eader, Saltzman. She moved on from her earthly life at Cedarhurst of Waterloo Assisted Living on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Ryta enjoyed quilting for her family, biking, camping, boating and just traveling with her beloved husband David Procasky. She graduated from SWIC – with an Associates Degree and also from the St. Louis College of Health Careers and was a Registered Central Service Technician. She received a Certificate of Appreciation from Scott Swanson for being a Volunteer Swim Instructor for two years - 1987 and 1988.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Godinez; her parents, Carl and Elsie Saltzman; two brothers, Danny Saltzman and Del Ray Adams.; sister, Jan Salazar, and brother-in-law, Bruce Salazar.

Surviving is her husband Dave Procasky whom she married In August of 1994; sisters, Carol Garner and Mary Jo Saltzman; sister-in-law, Charlotte Saltzman; her children ,Joseph (Yvonne) Little, Jim (Angie) Little, Mary Beary, and Mike Beary; grandchildren, Jimmy (Melissa) Little, Christina (Andrew) Simshauser, Brandon Little, Stephanie (Tony) Crump, Hailey (Derrick) Ward, Taylor Egner, Crystal Recklein, Kelsey Maloney, Kenny Sheppard Jr., and Cory Godinez; great grandchildren, Elias Black, Lennix Little, Olivia, Little, Liliana, Lydia and Thadeus Simshauser, Tessa Egner-Bievenue, Gunner and Georgia Crump, and Lorelai and Briar Ward. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Memorials may be made to Helping Strays in Waterloo, Illinois.

In accordance with Ryta's wishes, a private cremation was held and a CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Oak Hill 623 Hamacher Street, Waterloo, IL 62298.

Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois was entrusted with the care of Mrs. Procasky.
