Roy E. Simshauser III, 62, of Cahokia, IL, born February 11, 1959 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Roy was retired from J.B. Marine in St. Louis, MO and was a member of Teamsters Local 688 out of St. Louis, MO. He loved flying planes and was an avid fisherman and liked hiking.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy E. Simshauser II and his grandparents.

Surviving are his sons Matthew (Victoria) Simshauser of Columbia, IL and Andrew (Christina) Simshauser of O'Fallon, IL; his mother, Betty Simshauser, nee Lacey of Cahokia, IL; three brothers, Tim (Brenda) Connor of Willisville, IL, Gary (Jackie) Simshauser of St. Louis, MO, and Mike Simshauser of Cahokia, IL; four sisters, Karan Jenkins of Valmeyer, IL, Cheire (Mike) Stephenson of Fairview Hgts, IL, Brenda Hurley of Cahokia, IL, and Sheila (David) Graves of Branson, MO; six grandchildren, Talon, Easton, Liliana, Lydia, Elaina and Thadeus. Roy was also a dear uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home, 265 Quarry Rd., Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.. Burial will be in Palmier Cemetery in Columbia, IL.
