Roberta "Maxine" H. Elmore, nee Wirth, 92, of Cahokia, Illinois, born October 28, 1928 in Gillespie, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Elmore was retired from the AVSCOM in St. Louis, MO. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL and a former member of Peace Lutheran in Belleville and Mount Calvary Lutheran and King of Kings Lutheran, both of Cahokia, IL and the Business and Professional Women of Cahokia, IL. She enjoyed working with ceramics and volunteering with the church resale shop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford L. Elmore; a son, Gary Elmore; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Elmore; a grandson, James Elmore; her parents, Phillip and Edith, nee Mook, Wirth; four brothers, Harold, John, Wilbur, and Fred Wirth; and two sisters, Ruth Roth and Frances Wirth.

Surviving are a son, James Elmore; a daughter-in-law, Karen Elmore; three grandchildren, Dawn Lisa (Matt Kordelski) Elmore, Michael (Nikki) Elmore, and Cristina Kreutz; five great grandchildren, Austin (Mckenzie), Breanna, Cameron,and Mackenzie Elmore and Chad (Meagan) Kreutz: and two great great grandchildren, Scarlett and Kayson..

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri on Monday, August 2, 2021.
