Robert "Bob" Eugene Stine, Jr., 76, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2025.

He retired from the Decatur, IL fire department after 30 years, but continued working many other jobs after that. He was a selfless and loving person, who truly found joy in helping others. He loved fishing and taking care of his garden. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert E. Stine Sr. and mother Geraldine Etherton Stine.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Donna Stine (nee Wallace,) his brother Michael (Judy) Stine, his children Gwen Stine, Darren (Staci) Stine, Gayle (Matt) Woodall, and Gabrielle (Yasha) Zenkov, 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Service: Visitation will be on Friday, January 17th at 9:30 AM until the funeral service at 10:30 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, 737 Barracksview Road, Saint Louis, Missouri  63125.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association or Family Hospice in Columbia, IL, should you desire.
