Robert W. Gourley, Sr., 67, of Cahokia, Illinois, born March 27, 1956 in East St. Louis, Illinois, died Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Bria of Belleville Nursing Home.

Robert was a retired UAW member from the Chrysler Corp. in Belvedere, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pansy, nee Lopp Gourley; a brother, Steven Gourley; and a sister, Patricia Sargent.

Surviving are his wife, Mary J. Gourley, nee Fowler; his children, Larry Mobbs, Terry (Cheryl) Mobbs, Jennifer Hartsell, Noranne Thompson, Joseph (Beth) Hartsell, Robert Gourley, Jr., Amanda (David Krueger) Hartsell, and William Gourley; his mother, Bette Gourley; his twin brother, William (Vicki) Gourley; and a sister, Janice (Rick) Watson; 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.  A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
