Robert Grant Carpenter 71 of Cahokia, IL, born July 26, 1950 in Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on Thursday December 2, 2021 at Touchette Regional Hospital.

Robert retired from Hertz Rent a car in St. Louis, MO, he was a Christian School Teacher at New Testament Baptist Church in Cahokia, IL, he was a substitute school teacher fro Cahokia School Dist. 187. AAA Insurance Agent, he loved watching the Baseball cardinals and fishing.

Preceded in death by his parents George & Lois Gregory, Carpenter, a sister Phyllis Sullens and a brother Larry Carpenter.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years Deborah G. Carpenter nee Taylor, his children; Scott (Erin) Carpenter of Carmi, IL, Elizabeth Carpenter of Fairview Hgts, IL, James (Stephanie Curtis) Carpenter of Enfield, IL. 1 sister Karen (George) Gibert of Salem, MO. 10 grandchildren; McKenzie, Noa, Allison, George, Elijah, Olive, Violet, Zoey, Henry, Job. Robert was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

A committal service will be held on Tuesday December 7, 2021 at 11:00 am at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
