Robert B. Browning, Sr., 75 of Cahokia, Illinois, born February 27, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas, died on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his residence.

He was a retired self employed auto mechanic. He loved custom cars and built several hot rods over the years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ridgeway; his parents, Calvin and Goldie, nee Norris, Browning; and a brother, Rick Browning.

Surviving are a son, Robert (Rochelle) Browning of Dupo, IL; a brother, Gary Browning of Columbia, IL; five grandchildren, Ricky, Blain, and Keysen Browning, Shelby Stanger, and Vivian Cobb; and 13 great grandchildren.  He was also a dear uncle, cousin, and friend.

In following Robert's wishes a private cremation was to be held. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Braun Family Funeral Home in Columbia, Illinois was entrusted with the care of Mr. Browning.
