Richard A. Rollo of Cahokia, Illinois passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on Thursday, February 3, 2022. He was diagnosed with cancer early in 2021. True to his nature, he fought with strong will and great determination to remain in his ancestral home until his final day. When his body could not match the resolve of the Spirit, he breathed his last breath in his home - as he wished.

Richard was a retired truck driver, who enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle, and listening to classic country music. He will be remembered for his great affection for his dogs, his fondness for German Shepherds, and his love of family.

Richard was the son of Joyce C. Rollo and Virginia A. Rollo, who preceded him into death. He is survived by his only sibling Michael David (Georgia) Rollo, his three daughters - Lorie, Dawn, and Carolyn, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, two nieces Angela and Elizabeth, one great-niece, and two great-nephews.

To the end, Richard fought for every day and was at his most determined and tenacious in his last days. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

In keeping with his wishes, arrangements for his funeral will be private. He will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
