Richard A. "Dick" Pearl, 77 of Belleville, IL., born on September 30, 1945 in Murphysboro, IL., passed away on Monday July 3, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family and much love.
Dick was retired from the Canadian National Railway following 42 years of service in the clerical department. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball in his younger years and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. He shared a love of golf with his wife and many friends.
Preceded in death by his first wife, LeeAnn Pearl nee Palmier who passed away on January 19, 1992 and his parents, Joseph E. and Helen L. nee Nagel, Pearl. Two brothers-in-law, John M. Hoerner and Henry Dinan.
Surviving are his loving wife of 21 years, Patti Pearl nee Hoerner, his daughter Lisa Pearl of Dupo, IL., his grandson Tyler Whitaker of Dupo, IL. His blended children, Craig Underwood of Belleville, IL., and Kara (Michael) Gordon of Downers Grove, IL., and three grandsons, Garrett, Griffin and Graham Gordon. Two brothers, Joseph Pearl and Jerry (Tresha) Pearl. Two sisters, Barbara Bayless and Karen (David) Blickenstaff. Three sister-in-laws, Mona (Gary) Sterr, Nora Dinan and Kay Hoerner. Seven brothers-in-law, Dennis (Francie) Hoerner, Jr., Tim (Robin) Hoerner, Joseph (Mary Beth) Hoerner, Keith (Anne) Hoerner, Kevin (Ann) Hoerner, Steve (Deanne) Hoerner and Garrett (Katie) Hoerner. Dick is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial gathering will be held on Monday July 10, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks Natl. Cemetery.
