Ricardo "Rico" P. Ceballos, 88, of Cahokia, Illinois, born September 10, 1937 in Veracruz, Mexico, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Rico was a retired school bus driver from Cahokia Unit School District 187. He was a member of the Centreville Men's Club and "Oscar's Crew". He was a former member of the Fountain of Youth Baseball League.

Surviving are his wife, Saundra Ceballos, nee Baumhardt; his children, Kevin Ceballos, Forrest (Marina) Ceballos, Theresa (Robert LiVigni) McNabb, Josh (Stephanie) Abel, and Elaine Buchheit; two sisters, Noemi Sallers and Abigail Lara; and three grandchildren, Olivia Ceballos and Hudson and Colton Abel. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.  A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Father Carl Scherrer.
