Rhonda L. Hooker 74, of Dupo, IL, born June 29, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at her residence.

Rhonda loved being in the country and riding horses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Stella Schmid, nee Bradshaw; sister, Betty Mino and brother, Bill Schmid.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Hooker; her children, Richard Del (Marie) Hooker of Valmeyer, IL, Cheryl (John) Potter of Columbia, MO, Melinda (Frank) Stanley of Kansas City, KS, Jodi Garrett of Dupo, IL, Carolyn (Orlando) Carson of Hazelwood, MO and Edward (Julie) Hooker of East Carondelet,IL; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, IL.

Funeral Service at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the  funeral home with Reverend Roger Reid  officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery St. Louis, MO.
