Renate M. Livingston, nee  , 87 of Valmeyer, Illinois, born April 9, 1936 in Oppeln, Germany died Friday, April 21, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Renate was very proud to get her U.S. Citizenship in 1986. She enjoyed camping, spending holidays with family, but she always thought of others more than herself.

Preceded in death by her parents Erich & Luzia Centner, 1 sister and 3 brothers.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Allen Livingston; her children, Mike Livingston of Mayestown, IL and Christine (James) Mannon of Jackson, MO.  1 sister Barbara  (Kurt) Fisher of Germany. 2 brothers Dieter & Helment Centner both of Germany. 3 grandchildren; Neal Mannon of Valmeyer, IL, Michelle (Harley) Howard of Lenzberg, IL, Miles Livingston of Valmeyer, IL. 1 great grandchild on the way.

Visitation will be on Tuesday April 25, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home  265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks Natl. Cemetery.
