Raymond "Marty" Martin Mitchell, Jr. 45, of O'Fallon, Illinois, born September 2, 1974 in Centreville, Illinois, died Monday, November 11, 2019, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Marty was employed by Denny's in O'Fallon, IL. He was an avid Cardinals and Blues fan and enjoyed music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Mitchell and two grandmothers, Margaret Groves and Rosemary Mitchell.

Surviving are his father, Raymond Mitchell, Sr. of O'Fallon, MO; his sisters, Amy Alexander and Christina Wilson, both of Waterloo, IL, Stephanie Mitchell of Dupo, IL, Theresa Lemon, U.S. Navy, San Diego, CA, Desieree Kolberg of St. Peters, MO, and Jessica Mitchell of O'Fallon, MO; and close family friends Alice and Allen Arnold of O'Fallon, IL. He was also a dear nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois, a funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, McLeansboro, Illinois.
