Raymond Edward Kempf, 95, of Cahokia, Illinois, born September 2, 1922 in Sugarloaf Township, Illinois,passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Memorial Hospital Belleville, Illinois.

Raymond was retired from Cerro Copper in Sauget, IL. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Sugarloaf Township, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Olinda Kempf, nee Taylor; parents, Ernest and Alma, nee Vogelpohl, Kempf; four sons, Ron, Gene, Sam, Tom Kocurek; a daughter, Mary Lou Christenson; beloved companion of twenty five years, Mabel Otten; four brothers, Norman, Milton, Oliver and Ernest, Jr. Kempf; two sisters, Ruth Reeves and Grace Range.

Survived by a son, Nick (Pat) Kocurek of Cahokia, IL.; a daughter, Barbara Hinton of Pasadena, TX; two daughters-in-law, Melba Kocurek of Cahokia, IL. and Shirley Kocurek of San Antonio, TX.; a brother, Orville (Judy) Kempf of Lenzburg, IL;a sister-in-law, Opal Kempf of Varna, IL; a dear friend, Sandra (Wayne) Herling of Millstadt, IL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church Sugarloaf Township, East Carondelet, Illinois with Pastor William Schmidt officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, East Carondelet, Illinois.
