Raymond "Richard" Gore, 83, of Dupo, Illinois, born April 23, 1935 in Matthews, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Raymond was retired from Cerro Copper in Sauget, Illinois and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. After retirement he worked as a plumber.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Pauline, nee Mays, Gore, ; two brothers; three sisters; and a granddaughter, Melissa Gore.

Surviving are his wife Betty, nee Banks; five children, Linda (Frank) Farmer of Dupo, IL, Brenda (Bubby) Norman of Waterloo, IL, Robert Gore of Dupo, IL, Steve (Charlotte) Gore of Millstadt, IL, and Danny Gore of Dupo, IL; two brothers, Bob Gore of Wright City, MO, and Dale Gore of Rector, Ark; three sisters, Sally White of Cape Girardeau, MO, Diane Haney and Joyce Johnson both of Sikeston, MO; six grandchildren, Robert Fowler III, Richard (Heather) Norman, Jessica (David) Grissom, Shannon (Daniel) Allen, Holly (Devan Bridges) Gore, Melanie (Rodney) Stone; eight great grandchildren, Robert IV, Dylan, Logan, Hailey, Paisley, Haleigh, Hunter,and Ashlynn. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Memorials may be made to the family.

A private cremation was held.
