Ramon Cortez Williams, age 60, of Cahokia, Illinois, born to Gloria Simmons Ratliff, October 17, 1960, in St Louis Missouri, passed August 27, 2021 at St Elizabeth Hospital, O'Fallon, Illinois.
Christ was introduced into Ramon Williams life at an early age where most of his precious moments were spent attending church with his grand-mother. His love of church and love of God was deeply embedded in him. His education accomplishments were achieved at the East St Louis School District 189 and throughout the years he worked as a laborer for various establishments.
Ramon was an extraordinary person. There was nothing more important to him than family and friends. You only got a chance to be a stranger to him just once, after that you became Family. In his famous words " We All We Got". He loved his sports and debating about who was the best player and who had the juice. Oh when you saw him it was on, no matter what the season was, football, basketball, whatever. But NOTHING gave him more pleasure than the love he shared with his wife for 45 years. he also loved his quiet relaxing time he spent at the lake fishing, him and his brother in law , you would never catch him without those fishing poles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles Hawkins, two brothers Brian Ratliff and Lee - Arsey Palmer Hawkins.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife of 30 years, Doll 'Darlene" L Williams Hill; his children, Antonio Hill of East St Louis,IL, Watisha Hill of St Louis, MO, Walter Hill of Cahokia, IL, Ja'Meka Thomas of Cahokia, IL, six sisters, Jacqueline Simon of Madison, IL, Claudia (Zachary) Bass of East St Louis, IL., Cheryl Ratliff of Belleville, IL., Lisa (David) Seals of Belleville, IL, Antonia (Mike) Harris of St Louis, MO., Jewel Evans of Belleville IL., Step Brother, Freddy Rowe of Belleville, IL, 13 grandchildren, and a special great grandson, De'Marko Nelson. He was also a dear brother in law, uncle, cousin, and friend to everyone he would meet.
