Ralph L. Knight, 82, of Belleville, Illinois, born October 5, 1935 in Carterville, Illinois, died on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Four Fountains Convalescent Center, Belleville, Illinois.
Ralph was a retired U.S. Army veteran and served in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was also a retired security officer and a member of V.F.W. Post 1739 of Belleville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Anna, nee McCoy, Knight; a son, Jefferey Knight; and a brother, William "Bill" Knight.
Surviving are his wife JoAnn Knight, nee Robinson; his children, Ralph "Tinker" Knight, Rendall (Salas Maria) Knight, Lora Knight, and Leslie Knight; two step sons, Chuck (Jill) Kasban and Todd (Amber) Kasban; two brothers, Charles (Linda) Bryant and Brian (Tanya) Russell; two sisters, Elsie Tyner and Claudine (Tom) Goodman; and eight grandchildren, Madyson, Angela, Chuck, Taylor, Hawk, Alexis, Amelia, and Connor. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
