Rachel S. Williams, nee Mason, 62, of Sauget, Illinois, born July 13, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, MO.

She was a devout Christian and member of Living Water Church of God in Cahokia, IL. She was elected as Clerk of the Village of Sauget, IL in August  2008 and served until her death. One of her passions was working with several animal rescue groups and fostering dogs in need of love, until a forever home could be found.  She was a very kind hearted person and a great Mom to all of her fur-babies.

Rachel was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Gertrude Mason.

Surviving are her husband, John Michael "Mike" Williams of Sauget, IL a brother, James Richard "Ricky" Mason of Cahokia, IL; cousins, Pam (Joe Bob) Morgan, nee Burke of Cahokia, IL; Kim (Mike) Santoyo, nee Burke of St. Louis, MO and Diana Burke of Fairview Heights, IL. She was a dear aunt, sister-in-law, and friend and was loved by many.

In following Rachel's wishes a private cremation will be held. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.

Braun Family Funeral Home in Columbia, Illinois was entrusted with the care of Rachel.
