Peggy Ann Meier, nee Amsler, 60 of Columbia, Illinois, born December 28, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on October 8, 2023, at Evelyn's House in St. Louis, Missouri.

Peggy loved being with family, and she loved watching and participating in athletics. Peggy often joined family or friends in rounds of golf, long bike rides, walks and watching sporting events.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Amsler.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Meier; mother, Marian Amsler, nee Hercules; son, John (Kayla) Mihaljevic; three step-children, Amber (Zak Studebaker) Meier, Garrett (Brittany) Meier, Logan Meier; four sisters, Cheryl (Lyle) Doeschot, Maureen (Leonard) Chirco, Mary Kay (Dan) Goodman and Sue (Jason) Schwent; two brothers, Tom (Ileana) Amsler and Mike (Karis) Amsler. In-laws, Gerrie (Ed) Haukap, David (Linda) Meier, Jeanette Thole, Norman (Mary Pat) Meier, Joan (Patty Pelican) Meier and Paul (Lori) Meier.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday October 28, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 411 Palmer Road Columbia, Illinois. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am with Father Steve Thoma officiating. Peggy's wishes were to be a donor.

Peggy's family is beyond grateful for the compassion and care that Evelyn's House provided throughout Peggy's last days.
