Peggy J. Heedley, nee Rice, 76, of Belleville, IL., formerly of Cahokia, IL., born February 18, 1942 in Kane, IL., passed away on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at her residence.

Peggy was a retired School Bus Driver for Cahokia School District 187 of Cahokia, IL. Member of Living Waters Church of Cahokia, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil F. Heedley; parents, William and Juanita, nee Hensen, Rice; a sister, Linda Birdsong; sister-in-law, Sandy Rice.

Surviving are her children, William F. (Tabi) Heedley of Indenpendence, MO., and Melissa J. (Richard) Miller of Belleville, IL.; two brothers, Jim (Sharon) Rice of Andalusia, IL. and Ken Rice of Rushville, IL.; three grandchildren, Joseph Duncan, William Heedley, Jr. and Courtney Willis; great grandchild, Natasha Jade Henry. She was a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Visitation on Monday March 19, 2018 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, IL. from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

Funeral service Monday March 19, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Cahalan officiating. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
