Paulette Yvonne Shreve, 77, of Cahokia, IL., born on April 20, 1943 in St. Louis, MO., passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Belleville Memorial Hospital.

Paulette retired from Shop-n-Save where she worked in the bakery and as a cashier for many years. She was a 2 time world horseshoe pitching champion; loved to play bingo; was an avid bowler, and loved sitting and gawking from her porch, she very much loved watching her grandchildren. She was member of the Horseshoe Pitchers Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Irene, nee Shoemaker, Firebaugh; a daughter, Dayna M. Shreve; a brother, Richard Firebaugh: and a sister Sandra Kucera.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Dave A. Shreve her children, Debbie Herderhorst-Bowen of Dupo, IL., Ed (Denise) Herderhorst of Cahokia, IL., Brenda Herderhorst of Cahokia, IL., David R. Shreve of Olivette, MO; Howard (Anne) Shreve of San Antonio, TX. Shelly Shreve of Collinsville, IL. and Angie Shreve of Monahans, TX.; a brother, Ralph Firebaugh of Fairview Heights, IL; a sister-in-law, Susan (Don) Webber of Woodstock, GA; seven grandchildren, Andrea (Greg) Yochum, Kyle Herderhorst, Kailey, Keirstyn, Dayton, Taylin and Madilynn Shreve. Paulette was also a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Paulette wishes were to be cremated. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.  A Memorial Service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
