Patricia A. Willis, nee Bequette, 83, of Red Bud, Illinois, formerly of Cahokia, Illinois, born June 28, 1942, died Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Three Springs Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.

Patricia enjoyed cooking, especially baking cakes, like her famous Carrot Cake, and watching Cardinals Baseball games. She loved the company of her cat Suzy Q.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin C. Willis; two sons, Jeffrey Wayne Anderson and Robert Lee Thompson; a son-in-law, Charles Morgan; her parents, Edward Bequette and Amira Eckert, nee Gambrell; and two brothers, Norman Bequette and James Hendricks.

Surviving are her children, Brenda (Wayne) Hitzemann of Ellis Grove, IL and Dave (Cathy) Anderson of Bonne Terre, MO; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Roger Reid officiating.  Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Percy Cemetery, Percy, Illinois.
