Patricia J. Harwell, nee Nachtweih, 87, of Red Bud, IL, formerly of Cahokia and Columbia, IL, born July 7, 1932 in St. Louis, MO, died Saturday, September 28, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Patricia was a member of the former St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Post 1699 Ladies Auxiliary, both of Cahokia, IL. She was a very good seamstress and a great cook. She love doing both.

She was preceded in death her parents, Edgar and Garnet, nee DeNoyer, Nachtweih; a brother, Norman Nachtweih; three sisters, Phyllis Barrett, Paula Dalton, and Carol Stevenson.

Surviving are her loving husband of 70 years, Calvin "Cal" Harwell; her children, Karen (Ron) Harwell-Morse of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin (Teresa) Harwell of Waterloo, IL, and Susan (Don Lange) Harwell of Red Bud, IL; five grandchildren, Brittany (Rob), Whitney (Dirk), Jeffrey (Lydia), Rose (Steve), and Carson; and seven great grandchildren, Madelyn, Vivian, Gage, Mason, Genesis, Lucious, and Brian. She was also a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the funeral home with Father Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
