Obituary

NORMAN "JACK" LEON HURLEY, 92, of Cahokia, Illinois, born June 30, 1925, in Bertrand, Missouri, died Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Integrity Healthcare of Columbia.

Jack was retired from Combustion Engineering in St. Louis, MO. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of Bethany General Baptist Church in Caseyville, IL.

He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Hurley; his parents, Earl and Georgia, nee Grimes, Hurley; a step brother. Manual Hurley; and a granddaughter, Sheila Hurley.

Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Lola Emma Jean Hurley, nee Ramsey; his children, Dave (Donna) Hurley of St. Paul, MO, Brenda Johnson of Arnold, MO, and Judy (Leroy) Jaco of Dupo, IL; a step sister, Clauddett (Bob) Weeks of Waukegan, IL; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Memorials may be made to Celtic Hospice/Residential Hospice.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at the Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home, with Reverend Floyd Holland officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
