Newton "Floyd" F. Grisham, 82, of Cahokia, Illinois, born August 20, 1939 in O'Fallon, Missouri, died Saturday, August 28, 2021 at St. Alexius Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Floyd was a retired iron worker from Stump Brothers Bridge and Iron in St. Louis, MO. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Iron Workers Union Local 396 in St. Louis. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. In his younger years, he was very athletic and played several sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton J. and Effie, nee Richardson, Grisham; his former wife, Mary Jane Grisham; and two brothers, Kenneth and John Grisham.

Surviving are his children, Penny (Dwayne) Brown of Cahokia, IL and John (Christine) Grisham of Shiloh, IL; six grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon) Price, Samantha Grisham, Rebecca (Chris) Hughes, Saja Bittle, Alaney (Henry) Cable, and Kylie Grisham;; and 15 great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Makena, Gordan, Michael, Maggie, Lynzi, Alexis, Brealynn, Trayvon, Samarah, Kynzlie, Bryson, Evie, Jondon, and Aubrey. He was also a dear uncle, cousin, friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with James Pennington officiating.
