Nema Dockins, nee Collins, 89, of Waterloo, Illinois, formerly of Belleville, Illinois, born April 30, 1929, in Greenfield, Tennessee, died Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the deGreeff Hospice House at St. Anthony's.
Nema was a retired Administrative Assistant from ARS (American Redemption Systems) in Mascoutah, IL. She was a member of Maplewood Church of Christ, Cahokia, IL. She loved spending time with her numerous friends and her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her always upbeat and outgoing disposition encouraged many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon E. Dockins; her parents, William "Edgar" and Lois, nee Rachels, Collins; two brothers, Edgar and Kenneth Collins; and a sister, Opal Austin.
Surviving are her children, Charlotte (Ed) Martin of Grand Rapids, MI, Terry (Sandy) Dockins of Maui, HI, and Lori (Eddie) Arzola of Waterloo, IL; eight grandchildren, Summer Gonzalez, Sean (Lydia) Martin, Lance (Kathryn) Dockins, Kyle Martin, Melanie Christians, Coby (Derek Fatheree) Arzola, Tory Arzola, and Austin (Ali) Arzola; and four great grandchildren, Mariah, Kaleo, Kaden, and Braylon. She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at the funeral home with Jeff Earnhart officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
