Michael E. Wors, 82, of Sauget, Illinois, born March 10, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri, died Sunday, June 20, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Michael was a retired Train Master from the Alton and Southern Railroad. He was an U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Michael was also a former 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Leo A. Jerome, Council 1666 in Cahokia, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Alice, nee Brown, Wors, two sons, Michael and Todd Wors; and a sister, Sondra McDonald.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Paula Wors, nee Coonrod; his children, David, Brad, and Patty Wors and Kathy Campbell; a step daughter, Melissa (Nancy) Black; a step son, Phillip Black, Jr.; a brother, Nicholas (Rebecca) Wors; five grandchildren, Gage Black and Josh, Bradley, Katie and Todd Wors; and several great grandchildren. Michael was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Monday, June 28, 2021. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
