MICHAEL JAMES LENZ, 52, of Cahokia, Illinois, born July 23, 1965 in Centreville, Illinois, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Mike was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis A. Lenz, Jr. and two nephews, Adam Lenz and Scott Marshall.

Surviving are his children, Sarah (Dale) Williams of Cahokia, IL, and Christopher and Margaret Lenz, both of Indiana; his mother, Margaret, nee Waymire, Lenz of Red Bud, IL; his siblings, Louis A. (Denise) Lenz, III of Waterloo, IL, Ken Lenz of Kirkwood, MO, Tom (Linda) Lenz of Waterloo, IL, Jerry (Ann) Lenz of Waterloo, IL, Larry (Tammy) Lenz of Olathe, KS, Vince Lenz of Bonne Terre, MO, Lisa (Andrew) Gray of Waterloo, IL and Matt (Sara) Lenz of Waterloo, IL; three grandchildren, Dale, Aiden, and Lucille. He was also a dear nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend.

In lieu of any customary expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 noon.
