Michael Joseph Knaup, Sr., 39, of Cahokia, IL, born November 12, 1978, in Belleville, Illinois, died Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Touchette Regional Hospital, Centreville, Illinois.

Surviving are his children, Dylan Johnson-Knaup of Murray, KY, Destiney (Cody Norbeck) Wade and Michael J. (Heather Goddard) Knaup, Jr., both of Cahokia, IL; his significant other, Terrie Wade of Cahokia, IL; his father, Joseph (Patricia) Knaup of Columbia, IL; his mother, Carole (Jim) Wilson of Milton, PA; grandparents James and Jeanette Knaup of Cahokia, IL; his great grandmother, Johanna Pita of Pottstown, PA; his siblings, Lisa Wilson of Todd, PA, Jack (Becky) Hunt of Columbia, IL, Brandon (Monica) Cadell of St. Louis, MO, Tony (Jamie) Knaup of Sauget, IL, Kelly (Brian) Dugan of Cedar Rapids, IA, Zak (Suzanne Robertson) Knaup of Dupo, IL; and Jacob (Shelby Fields) Knaup of Columbia, IL; and two grandchildren, Bentley and Aliannah. He was also a dear uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Friends may visit from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. A private cremation will follow.
