Michael E. Darnell, 49, of Cahokia, Illinois born June 14, 1976, in Centreville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Michael was a minister on the staff of Power of Change Christian Church in Cahokia, IL.  He graduated  from Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorthea "Dottie" nee Follmer, Darnell, Sr.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria "Neicey" Darnell, nee Westbrook; his siblings, Frank (Edna) Williams of Cuba, MO, Robin (Kenny) Davis in Cuba, MO, Cathy Darnell of Cahokia, IL, Robert Darnell, Jr. of Cahokia, IL, a nephew, Rocky Follmer and two nieces,  Pamela Peden, and Crystal Bequette and their families. He was also a dear brother-in-law,  nephew, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  A private cremation will follow.
