Matthew "Matt" Anthony Mueller, 58 of Columbia, IL, born March 4, 1968 in Centreville, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at his residence.

Matt was a loving family man. He attended SIUE for teaching and left to pursue a career with the Village of Cahokia. He worked at the pool, ice rink and eventually ran the Prairies Golf Course until he retired in 2007. He turned his favorite hobby into a lucrative career playing cards. Through all of his accomplishments, he made many friendships.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Jackie Mueller, nee Dahmer.

Surviving are his loving wife of 19 years, Sheralyn "Sherry" Mueller, nee Williams; children, Bryce (Alexandra) Mueller, Bret Mueller, Daniel "Dan" Blaylock and Sheridan (Alex Kirkland) Blaylock; two brothers, Greg (Wendy) Mueller and Chris (Joy) Mueller; four grandchildren, Freyja, Ayden, Brody and Asher; mother of Bryce and Bret, Mary Mueller. He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, nephew and a friend to many.

Memorials may be made to Food Outreach of St. Louis.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Braun Family Funeral Home.
