Mary Jo Grob (nee Beasley), 78, of Cahokia, IL, born February 9, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, MO, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, peacefully in her home of 48 years.

Mary Jo graduated Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1964, graduated beauty school, and was a beautician/hair stylist for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Beasley, mother Norma Jean Reynolds (nee Joyce), two brothers; Lyman Ray Beasley, and Gerald "Jerry" Beasley, and dear friend/former husband, William "Bill" Carrico.

Surviving are her son, Gregory (Trisha Eckert) Bertels of Cape Coral, FL; brother, Ronald (Patsy) Beasley of Cape Girardeau,  MO; and the light of her life, her grandson Caleb Bertels of Belleville, IL.  She had many special friends; The Carrico Family, The York Family, Patty, Emily, Linda Sue, Judie, Debi, Jean Ann, Linda, Dianne, Jeannie, Kay, Mark, Dionne, Mary, Amy, Layla, her niece Margie, her cousin Donna, and many many more.  She was a dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to so many.

She loved her family & friends, talking, laughing, telling stories, sharing memories, looking at pictures, her phone, scrolling Facebook, looking up everything she could think of, shopping, Coke with lots of ice, and most of all her grandson, Caleb.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Braun Family Funeral Home Columbia, Illinois. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Roger Reid officiating.
